Lexus has teased the new IS that will debut June 9th. The rumored IS-F is coming back as an IS500 though- some sources say it will have V8 from the LC500 (471 hp), while others say it will have the 3.5Turbo from the LS- 416 hp @ 6,000 rpm , Torque 442 lb·ft @ 1,600 – 4,800 rpm

Oh. I’m VERY curious as to how this will go.

I would LOVE a 3rd gen IS with that big-ass V8. I acknowledge that its an OLD motor at this point (debuted in 07 FFS) but god dam that car would SING with that motor.

the TT v6 I feel like would have more tuning over head....and cheaper running costs. and boosty noises.

I am torn.

I Really hope they do shove the V8. The IS is in a market that has been shrinking lately, hopefully they will send off the sedan with a bang like that.
